Summary

Shortly before Bel's marriage to Ellis, her friend Louise goes house hunting for the future Brownlees and discovers a charming yet neglected old stone cottage called Fletchers End. Bel adores the house and, keen to make her happy, Ellis buys the place from absent owner Lieutenant Commander Lestrange. Bel embarks on her new life as a devoted wife, loyally guiding Louise through her own romantic tribulations.
