Summer 1940. The Battle of Britain is raging. Fighter Pilot Ken Armstrong, newly promoted to the rank of squadron leader, is summoned to Fighter Command HQ to receive new orders: form a special squadron that will take the war to the enemy. The squadron's first task is to seek out the German bombers and destroy them on their airfields in France and the Low Countries.
