All the episodes from the four-part British television drama in which a young girl becomes the victim of an unthinkable crime when her social worker unwittingly leaves her vulnerable. As Kiri (Felicia Mukasa) is due to be adopted by her foster parents, social worker Miriam (Sarah Lancashire) allows an unsupervised visit to take place between Kiri, her grandfather Tobi (Lucian Msamati) and his wife. When Kiri goes missing, alarm bells begin to ring and Miriam worries that she has been reckless in her actions. Sadly, Kiri is found to have been abducted and murdered and now the investigation takes place to find out who committed the atrocious act as Miriam finds herself at the centre of the inquiry.
