Books
This is a story about what can happen to a girl when she starts her period. Susan doesn't understand what is happening to her when she finds blood on her sheets and clothes. Rather than tell her mum, she goes straight to school where other girls giggle and point at the blood stains. Susan's teacher quickly steps in to reassure her and explain about menstruation. At home, Susan's mum provides further reassurance and shows Susan how to keep herself clean and comfortable. Susan and her mum go shopping to celebrate Susan becoming a woman.
