A escrita da autora é muito fluída e as personagens, todas elas sem exceção, são incríveis. Os enredos das várias histórias foram todos eles construídos de forma lógica e repletos de emoções, sendo este um aspeto que cada vez valorizo mais nos livros. Os capítulos curtos só aumentavam mais a minha curiosidade e ânsia por alcançar os desfechos dos mesmos, todos eles atravessando várias décadas, retratam uma sociedade em constante mudança e as várias conquistas femininas no passado. Logo no início do livro temos a história de Madalena que se passa entre 1950 e 1955 confesso que me apeguei bastante a esta personagem e á sua determinação.
