The notes commence with an extremely detailed list of army pay, and officers for the year 1740, then details of ships in the Royal Navy, and lists of geographical facts. Robert Pocock then inserts a note to say that he doesn't know the owner of the first hand. Robert Pocock's notes start in 1800, with amusing anecdotes and some family history. Finally Robert's son adds some pages after his father's death.
