Official first day card for this 10p. commemorative stamp, issued on 10th July 1974. Part of a set of four stamps depicting famous Britons, it is a colourful drawing of the Black Prince on a caparisoned charger.. Hand-cancelled with a postmark reading 'First day of issue, Canterbury', and with a 'Posted at the Cathedral' handstamp. A brief outline of the historical background of the Black Prince on reverse.
