A Place for Plastic' is a picture book designed for Key Stage 2 children which follows the journey of a single-use plastic bag through the ocean. Perfect for World Oceans Day, a topic on recycling or the environment, or even Key Stage 2 guided reading sessions and assemblies. This ocean pollution story follows the bag from the supermarket into a kitchen bin and then from the back of a truck into a river. Carried into the ocean, the bag questions its place among jellyfish, birds and even a whale, before finally settling on an island of floating plastic waste. Deciding that plastic does not belong in the water, it makes its way back to land. The book ends with a child picking up litter on the beach, and the reader is left with a 'choice' to make about the bag's future.
