Classic post-war drama based on the play by Wynyard Browne. Ralph Richardson stars as Reverend Martin Gregory, a clergyman in a remote Norfolk village whose commitment to his religious duties leads him to neglect his family. Simmering tensions and years of resentment come to a head at the family's Christmas gathering. The cast also includes Celia Johnson, Margaret Leighton and Denholm Elliott.
