Daisy Ridley stars in the title role of this drama based on the novel by Lisa Klein which follows the events of Shakespeare's 'Hamlet' from Ophelia's perspective. After a child in Denmark, Ophelia (Ridley/Mia Quiney) is made a lady-in-waiting by Queen Gertrude (Naomi Watts) and welcomed into Elsinore Castle where she falls in love with Prince Hamlet (George MacKay/Jack Cunningham-Nuttall). A clandestine affair ensues, but the young couple's romance is shattered by Hamlet's pursuit of vengeance against his uncle Claudius (Clive Owen) for murdering his father.
