The Cornwall left Deptford on Sunday May 5th, 1839. On board were 387 emigrants, 'Kentish people, comprising 150 men, 94 women & 143 children under 15 years, bound for Sidney, New South Wales'. [No passenger list]. There are detailed descriptions of route, weather conditions, and the health of the passengers. Also descriptions of Norfolk Island and Sidney in New South Wales, where the ship stayed for about 3 months before the return journey.
